Recycling in Kingwood Township

Note:  Check this website for future changes and scheduling of hazardous waste recycling days.

Starting on August 1, 2019 and going forward, your recyclables are to be placed curbside and collected by your private trash hauler. Kingwood Township no longer offers comingled dumpsters for recycling. Please continue to recycle.

The METAL RECYCLING dumpster will remain open and is located at the DPW Garage on Union Road. Open weekdays from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Closed weekends and holidays.

For CLOTHING RECYLING, please use the clothing shed at Our Lady of Victories church located at the back of the parking lot in Baptistown, to drop off CLEAN, gently used clothing.

For five Saturdays during the year, Kingwood Township offers clean up dumpsters for furniture and other hard goods. A permit must be purchased at the municipal building.

Commercial/Business Recycling

All businesses are required to recycle by Township ordinance. Just like homeowners, you should have two cans or dumpsters – one for trash and one for recycling.

Also all business in the Township must submit the Tonnage Form indicating what they have recycled throughout the year. See link below for the form. Please download the form, complete and email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
